Transformational leadership is a model that works first at the individual level to understand the values, strengths, and opportunities for growth of a person, and then outwardly to determine how to apply each of these to have a positive impact on others. Transformational leadership promotes equity and inclusion by deconstructing the traditional ways in which leadership is perceived, and expanding it to encompass the various ways in which individuals can help transform societal and institutional realities.
