After operating as an informal body during the 2014-2018 legislative period, the Parliamentary Group of Women Members of the Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica (GPMD, by its Spanish initials) was made a permanent legislative body after the Legislative Assembly adopted an agreement to reform its regulations. Institutionalising the caucus in this way had been one of the goals of the original membership of the GPMD in order to ensure the continuity and sustainability of the group. This document contains an interview with two of its original members that provides further information.
